We are delighted to announce that we launched our school bus service this week with our transport partner, Vectare.
The bus ran its inaugural journey on the first day of the Autumn Term on Wednesday. One of our current parents said, “the bus was amazing this morning! Tracker accurate, lovely teacher and driver.” Pupil passengers were excited to see the bus arrive at stops local to their homes, and enjoyed travelling to school with other pupils from other classes and year groups.
Bus trips are booked flexibly by parents or for the whole term, and any live updates or changes to journeys can be made easily via the Vectare Passenger App. The vehicle tracking and safeguarding provision allows parents to check on each journey’s progress and know when their child has got on or off the bus.
Our Finton House school bus now runs from Huguenot Place/Alma Road in Wandsworth Town, heading along Geraldine Road towards King George’s Park in order to stop at the Henry Prince Estate on Garratt Lane, then passing Earlsfield Train Station to Burnwood Lane before arriving at school by 8.15am. Pupils who travel to school on the school bus spend a short time at Larks, our early drop-off provision, before going to their classrooms each morning at 8.30am.
At the end of the school day, pupils are able to attend Owls*, our after-school provision, from 4.00 – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 3.30 – 5.00pm on Fridays, or our regular chargeable after-school clubs. To find out more about the clubs we offer, click here. The return bus service departs from Finton House at 5.00pm, reaching the final stop on the route by 5.30pm.
We hope to expand the Finton bus service with further routes to meet the needs of local families, so please do get in touch with the Bursar (firstname.lastname@example.org) with feedback and requests.
