Poetry from Around the World

On Monday 30th January Finton celebrated the creativity and awards made during Poetry Week with a very memorable Assembly at Trinity Chapel. As part of our theme of ‘Poetry from Around the World’, our imaginations traversed the globe as we heard a verse written by each class featuring a country of their choosing. Next, the winners from each class took to the microphone in turn to recite a poem by heart in a seemingly undaunted fashion, both moving and entertaining us with voices charged with expression and verve.  A huge thank you to the pupils and to Miss Susan D, Miss Katie and Miss Sophie for making Poetry Week so enriching for everyone at Finton.
