Our Bursary Award

Finton House School, is a registered charity founded on the principles of inclusivity, kindness, and philanthropy. These values have guided our community since the school’s foundation and continue to remain at the heart of everything we do.

A central part of our charitable work is the Sally Walker Fund, established in honour of a much-loved former Headmistress. The Fund supports our Bursary Award, which offers children, aged seven and above, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, the chance to benefit from a Finton House education. These pupils make a lasting impact on school life by bringing their talents, perspectives, and experiences into our community.

We look for bursary candidates who show academic promise alongside a particular strength in one area of school life. Successful applicants will thrive within the breadth of our curriculum and demonstrate the potential to continue confidently into further education. Families are also asked to be fully committed to supporting their child’s learning journey.

If you would like to find out more about our bursary programme, we would warmly welcome the chance to arrange a phone call or an informal meeting to discuss further. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Charlotte Griffiths, Head of Marketing, Communications and Development, or with James Bashford, Development Governor at Finton House.
