Finton House is a registered charity, built on the values of inclusivity, kindness, and philanthropy. These principles have shaped the school’s identity since its foundation and remain central to everything we do.
At the heart of our charitable work is the Sally Walker Fund, named after a much-loved former Headmistress. The Fund supports our outreach efforts and partnerships in areas such as Sport & the Arts, Outdoor Learning, Health & Wellbeing, and the Cost of Living. It also sustains our Bursary Award, which enables children, aged seven or over, who may not otherwise have access to a Finton education, to join our community. These pupils enrich school life with their talents, perspectives, and experiences
The ideal Bursary applicant will be a child who shows academic aptitude with an outstanding ability in one area of school life, who will benefit fully from the broad curriculum that Finton House offers and will have the ability to go on to further education. The whole family must be committed to supporting their child’s education. Bursaries are available to children aged 7 or over on the 1 September of the year of entry (Year 3 or Year 4).
Bursary places are based on an academic selection process with an assessment being held at the School as well as a financial screening held by a third party. All cases are judged individually and family circumstances are taken into account.
