We had an exciting couple of weeks as Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 all headed off on their residential trips.
2025 At Finton, we place great value on the importance of pupils stepping beyond the classroom to explore new environments, meet new people, and develop real-world skills. Each academic year, we offer a wide array of enriching trips that support and enhance our curriculum. Being located in the heart of London, we are incredibly fortunate to have world-class cultural and educational experiences right on our doorstep. Our pupils regularly visit iconic landmarks such as the London Eye, museums, galleries, and theatres; becoming true experts in their local city.
As part of our commitment to a diverse education, we also offer visits to places of worship including churches, temples, mosques and synagogues, giving pupils the opportunity to learn about different faiths and cultures.
A highlight of the school year are the residential trips offered to years 3 to 6, giving pupils the chance to travel further afield to places like Wales, Dorset, and even France in Year 6. These unforgettable experiences include kayaking, fishing, white-water rafting, orienteering, and archery, helping pupils to build independence, teamwork, and a sense of adventure.
All in all, residentials are an incredibly valuable experience for our pupils and so much learning takes place which cannot be recreated in the classroom. A huge thank you goes to all of the staff who attended and to the pupils for representing Finton so admirably.
