A bursary can pay for up to 100% of the fees for a pupil whose family is unable to meet the cost of independent school. The bursary fund was launched in 2007 in memory of Sally Walker, Deputy Head and Head of Special Needs at the school from 1999-2002 and Headmistress from 2002-2005. We believe that everybody benefits if bright, talented children are given the opportunity to fulfil their potential through the benefits of an excellent education.
Bursaries are available to children aged 7 or over on the 1st September of the year of entry (Year 3). The closing date for applications is 1st December of the year before entry. It is possible for more than one award to be made to the same family, at the discretion of the bursary committee.
Awards can provide a discount on fees, and can pay for uniform, clubs and educational visits. The amount of the award depends on the family's ability to pay. If you apply, we will ask you to complete a financial means test, and invite your child to visit the school for an Assessment Day. We will also come and visit you at home. The ideal bursary applicant will be a child whose achievement is well above average at school, who is keen to learn and able to benefit fully from the broad curriculum that Finton House offers. The whole family must be committed to supporting their child's education now and in the future. Any award will be reviewed annually.
Anyone interested in applying for the bursary should contact Lucy Wheeler, the Registrar, on 020 8682 0921 or by e-mailing: email@example.com.

The longevity of the fund depends on support from Old Fintonians, current and past parents and friends of the school. Anyone interested in supporting the bursary can do so through a one-off donation or a pledge to donate a regular amount. For details please download the form below.
